This is such a fantastic read that will keep you on your toes and turning those pages all the way through. You will love every group of characters that is featured as everything goes down. Cash is the main one and you root for him the entire time. This is survival at it's finest. The strength, the know how, the will to go on will keep you engaged the whole time. I love how even in the face of danger around every corner people will come together. This going to be an addicting series just going off how this book pulled me right in. I cannot wait to find out more of who, the why and every other question I have going through my head at the moment. This is a must read for me. This book takes the reader on an intense ride. America is falling apart in the worst of ways and in the middle of it all we find Cash, Hannah, and Ellis just trying to survive. Cash is headed to find and protect his family when he comes across Hannah and her brother Ellis. They band together to find Hannah’s home for supplies and then make their way to Cash’s family. The situations that they encounter are seriously intense and there are so many bad people who have the worst of intentions. The end of this book leaves us in a good place but the story of definitely far from over!! I can’t wait to find out what happens next!! ( Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2021 )

Cash Bishop, an Army veteran is fighting to get back to his family. On his way to his family Cash picks up an energy scientist who is running as someone is after her. Dr. Hannah Carter doesn't know who's after her but she finds Cash Bishop and together they might be able to survive and make it to home without getting killed. I love the characters and their reaction to everything that's going on. Wow, who turned off all the lights? Will Cash keep Hannah safe? Will Cash make it home?
