Webb -- tools to process life and all it's surprises. : My morning devotion time always includes a book that addresses the various hurts and challenges that life serves up. None of us escape unscathed and sometimes these painful seasons seem to take over our lives and our thoughts. This book speaks to so many differing troubles that there is surely something for everyone. The authors use Scripture to encourage the reader to keep on moving forward. There is something about the quiet time of the morning (for me) that is enhanced when I come across a sentence that strikes a cord. Pulling out my highlighter and then making notes in the margins is healing and rewarding. I never expected to be a widow at 62, but here I am. Their stories, along with those of others who have struggled with difficulties, reveal how they leaned on their heavenly Father and found strength. Hope keeps us from giving up. Reading about other people's situations and how they held on to life helps to know that no situation is impossible and God is always there to pick us up. I like how they address the reader at the end of each chapter with questions we can ponder for finding out where our heart lies. If you feel hopeless, this book will lift you up.
