• 4.0 out of 5 stars from Thomas Kelley -- Definitely for the Football/Quarterback nerd : Brian Billick if you follow pro football you will know was an assistant coach for the Minnesota Vikings while he was there the Vikings made the playoffs 6 of the 7 years he was there along with the most points scored in a season. Of course you may recognize him more for the time he was a head coach for the Baltimore Ravens from 1999 to 2007 were the team won Superbowl 35 with if not the best defense one of the best that had Ray Lewis. Mr. Billick is the author of this book of what goes into picking a NFL quarterback. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 4, 2020 )
• 4.0 out of 5 stars from FB -- Interesting and Quick Read : I purchased this book after listening to an interview of Brian Billick on the Colin Cowherd show. It was a good quick read but I was hoping there would be more of a magical formula in evaluating quarterbacks. Basically it concludes by saying if you follow these principals a team might be 5% better at picking a quarterback and that 5% might be the difference between a .500 record and making the playoffs. My main takeaway from it is running quarterbacks are not any more prone to injuries than drop back quarterbacks. Quarterbacks get injured in their throwing motion in the pocket when their arm and legs are extended, not when they are deliberately running down field. The insights offered could have been presented in about 10 pages. The analyses of the various QBs is pretty good, but not great.
